How to change your character’s name for MHF/MHF2

Have you ever named your character wrongly or find that you did not like it anymore after many hours of gameplay? Importing your character over to the next version of the game will allow you to change practically everything but the name. Thankfully, there is a way to do a name change but it requires custom firmware for the psp.

How I defeated Lao-Shan Lung (MHF)

I completed all the Elder quests in MHF, save for the ‘Wyverns of Land and Sky’ urgent quest. I failed the first two times playing it as I did not refer to any guide. I knew I could use the guns and a weapon called ‘dragonator’ but when I played, I didn’t know how to use them.

The power of Great Swords

My psp d-pad is getting from bad to worse. Now the down button is unresponsive and the overall responsiveness and accuracy of the d-pad is much lower. Nevertheless, I still managed to slay a few Wyverns with the help of this new tactic with the great sword (GS) I learned from youtube.

I got a rustone!!!…. ok, now what?

I was reading around the tips from the previous post and got interested in getting some rustones. I manage to get mine on a 2nd try at the Guild HR1 Level 4* Swamp Gathering quest. I got 2 rustones from the red crystals mining area in Area 7. When you get one, you’ll hear the ‘successful red box delivery’ music. I knew I was on to something good. There were rusted weapons and I thought I was on my way to getting some. To my dismay, they turned into basic weapons when I created them at the weapons shop.
